CANTON, Ohio — 

On Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at 6:00 pm at the Canton City Engineering Office (2436 30th St. NE Canton, Ohio  44705), Canton will be holding the inaugural meeting of Canton's Tree Commission.  The Tree Commission was established under section 917.03 of the Canton codified ordinance on April 9, 2012 to provide a framework through which Canton can better manage its urban forest.  The primary goal of this meeting will be to introduce all the commission members and to establish roles for the commission members.  The full agenda is attached.  This is a public meeting to which all are welcome to attend to help usher in a new era in Canton's efforts [to] become a more sustainable community.
